Clinical-Grade Irradiance
Details
Dusk is the flat lay-on end of red light therapy. A single full-body mat with 1,280 dual-chip LEDs firing 660 nm red and 850 nm near-infrared at the same time, at clinical-grade 140 mW/cm² irradiance. Lay it on the floor, the bed or a yoga mat, lie on top, set the timer. No positioning, no flipping, no fuss.
What’s included
  • Dusk full-body LED mat
  • Inline controller with remote
  • Eye-protection mask
  • UK three-pin power adaptor (Type G)
  • Quick-start guide and dosing chart
How to use
  1. Roll Dusk out on a flat surface. The floor, the bed or a yoga mat all work. The flatter and firmer the base, the more even the contact.
  2. Plug in the inline controller. Choose a brightness from one to ten and a frequency between 10 and 100 Hz. Level five and steady mode covers most daily use.
  3. Set the timer. Ten minutes is the daily baseline. Fifteen to twenty for muscle, joint or skin work, three to five times a week.
  4. Lie down on top, face up or face down. Bare skin gives the highest dose. A thin layer of clothing is fine for everyday sessions.
  5. Let it run. Dusk shuts off when the timer ends. Roll it up or leave it ready for tomorrow.

Care & maintenance
Wipe the LED surface and outer cover with a dry or barely damp microfibre cloth between sessions. The mat is sealed but not waterproof, so never submerge any part of it and keep the controller dry. When storing, roll Dusk rather than folding it sharply along the same crease repeatedly.

What to expect

Recovery, on a timeline.

In-bed recovery is the simplest way to make daily red light a habit. Here is what most owners feel and see over the first three months.

  1. 1Week 1

    Lying down with it

First sessions. Aurora becomes part of getting into bed. Skin closest to the panel responds first. Sleep on those nights is often deeper.

  2. 2Week 2 to 4

    Localised changes

Wherever Aurora sits longest (back, chest, abdomen) starts feeling different. Less local tightness, brighter skin tone.

  3. 3Month 2

    Settled into a routine

The ritual is automatic. Pain that used to dictate your evenings stops doing so. Skin recovery on chest and shoulders is visible in the mirror.

  4. 4Month 3 and beyond

    Hands-off baseline

You lie down with it without thinking. Your body has stopped sending the signals you used to live with.

The recovery deficit

Recovery, in bed, while the news is on.

The best wellness routine is one you don't notice doing. Standing in front of a panel for ten minutes a day works, but it is still ten minutes of something. So is lying on a mat. So is going to a salon.

Lying in bed with a slim panel on your chest while you wind down asks nothing of you. You were going to lie there anyway. Now you do it while your cells repair.

Dusk makes recovery feel like nothing.

Where it works

Four systems. One light.

660 nm and 850 nm fire from the slim panel into whichever surface is in contact. Dusk sits where you point it: chest, abdomen, back, shoulder, knee.

Skin

660 nm reaches the fibroblasts that build collagen. Dusk often sits on chest and shoulders, large skin areas that benefit from regular targeted treatment.

Muscle

850 nm drives mitochondrial ATP in tired muscle. Lay the panel on a sore quad or lower back at the end of the day and let it work while you read.

Joint

850 nm penetrates synovial membranes. Drape it across a problem knee or shoulder while lying down, no positioning required.

Bone

Emerging research supports red and near-infrared light's role in stimulating osteoblasts. Dusk suits in-bed routines for older users managing bone health.

What changes

What a daily flat-mat routine actually delivers.

A routine you actually keep

Compliance is the hardest part of any recovery protocol. Dusk removes the compliance problem entirely. Ten minutes lying flat at the end of the day is something you would do anyway, and now the act of resting becomes a clinical-grade dose at 140 mW/cm² across the full surface of your body.

Whole-back, whole-front coverage

1,280 dual-chip diodes covering 1.8 metres by 0.8 metres of skin in a single lie-down. Lower back tightness, sore quads, shoulder knots from desk work, glutes locked from cycling — all dosed at once. No moving the device, no flipping, no positioning. The mat treats every area on the side that touches it.

Skin recovery across surfaces

Areas of skin that never normally get any treatment get the same clinical dose as the face. Body acne, post-procedure marks, ageing skin on chest and shoulders, scarring across the abdomen — all receive full-surface 660 nm exposure every session. Two and a half thousand chips firing red and near-infrared at once.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

Everything about how the device works, what to expect, and how to get the most out of your sessions.

Will it cover my whole body?
The treatment surface is 1.8 metres long and 0.8 metres wide. That covers the 99th percentile of UK adult height and the full width of the torso. Head to toe in one lie-down.
How long should each session be?
Ten minutes a day for general wellness, joints and sleep. Fifteen to twenty for deeper muscle or skin work, three to five times a week. Build up gradually if it is your first red light device.
Can I use it in bed?
Yes. Lay Dusk on the bed and lie on top. The mat runs cool and the controller is silent, so it can be part of a wind-down without disturbing anyone next to you.
Is it safe for daily use?
Yes. Non-ionising wavelengths, sub-0.1 µT EMF readings and a protective eye mask in the box.
What is the warranty and returns policy?
Thirty-day money-back guarantee from the date of delivery. One-year manufacturing warranty. Your UK statutory rights apply on top.
Where do you ship?
Free UK mainland delivery. Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and EU on request at checkout.

Lower back recovery in bed

Verified

21 May 2026

Lie back on Dusk for ten minutes every night before sleep. The lower back stiffness has eased noticeably since starting. Use it without fail now.

Versatile under or over

One mat, multiple placements. Lie on it for the back one night, drape it across the chest the next. Same Dusk, different position.

Brilliant, edges could be heavier

Verified

10 May 2026

Brilliant for what it is. The corners could be a touch heavier to stay flat on a soft mattress, but the mat itself works exactly as advertised.

Slim, silent, lives on the bed

Slim, quiet, no trailing cables. Lives on the bed and gets used most evenings. Wish it was a touch larger but happy.

Slow burn, eventually works

Took longer than I expected to feel a difference. Stuck with it for six weeks and the lower back stiffness has finally eased. Worth the patience if you can manage it.

Does the job, runs warm

Does the job, but the warmth coming off it at full power is noticeable. Best on lower settings for longer sessions in my experience.
